The Plan. (Sorry for the layout of the file - couldn't be bothered making it look flashy.)

“Hey man are you up for the camping trip of a life time?”
That’s the text that started it, received on Friday 17th September from my good friend Matt.
“Yeah sure man what’s the plan?”
The response was off right away I couldn’t wait for some fun with my mates from Thames. The “plan” as it turned out consisted of knowing where we were going, Kuatuna beach. That isn’t much of a plan but that’s ok, me and matt are known in Thames for throwing successful spontaneous events and for us this was a well advanced warning.
As soon as I hit Thames I did the rounds and visited all my friends, Elder was having a party that night which was awesome, but that’s another story. The morning after Elder’s, Matt and me got right to work planning the camping trip.
“Ok we’ll leave on Monday, Elder will pick us up and we’ll have a great time”
“Awesome you make sure the crew turns up and ill get some food for us”
That’s about as far as the planning went, not much but straight to the point.
On Monday morning I woke up at about 9am and packed my camping gear into the smallest space possible because I knew what our mode of transport was going to be.
By the time 10am had rolled around I heard a car sound system pumping out-side my house and looked out the window, I grabbed my bags finished my wheet-bix and walked out side to find Elder and Matt sitting in Elder’s bright orange, 1967 Ford Anglia. It was then I was glad for my tight packing as we had to get out and rearrange several items for my stuff to fit, Matt climbed into the back beside all the gear and I jumped in the front with tents piled on my lap.
We set out with the Sony Xplod stereo system pumping and hit the main road, if you could call the windy up and down left to right unmarked road between Tapu and Coromandle “the main road”. Non-the-less we made good time and stopped in Coromandle at our favorite fish and chip store for a snack and hit the road again before 11.45. We were the first people at Kuatuna and set up the camping site, but we didn’t wait long before many friends in various cars joined us, the list of every one there was as follows, Me, Matt Fill, Matt Corbett, Elder, Collins, Sykes, Stacey, Kate, Kim, Rory and Josh.
With every one there the festivities were set to begin, and begin they did! But that’s another story.
